Maintain and develop new business relationships with principals brokers lenders and advisors in target markets. The ideal should have experience in retail acquisitions, source underwrite evaluate finance and close retail real estate investments that meet our acquisition criteria. Actively source retail acquisitions across the country.
• Core grocery anchored and power center opportunities • Value add retail properties acquired both directly and through joint venture partners • Presale and development joint venture acquisitions. • Actively and creatively source transactions that fit within the company’s investment parameters • Underwrite potential acquisitions prepare investment memos and support the presentation and final recommendation to the Investment Committee • Manage acquisition timeline and serve as control point for each transaction sourced including negotiations due diligence and closing • Travel to and visit assigned markets regularly. • Supervise financial analysts to assist in the acquisition process; assist in developing junior staff
Requirements • 5 to 10 years in a real estate investment environment • Experience in sourcing negotiating and closing value add and presale opportunities • Established network of principal broker and advisor relationships • Understanding of capital markets • Established acquisitions track record • Proficiency in Argus Excel and Word • Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • People and management skills to succeed in a fast-paced demanding environment • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or CFA is a plus • Ability to multi-task and self-manage
