Development and oversight of business metrics with management providing direction in evaluating and forecasting of business financial results. Manufacturer of close tolerance precision metal products for the aerospace automotive nuclear and medical industries.
Direct financial accounting and operational activities to achieve company business objectives.
1. Establish and recommend to management major corporate economic strategies objectives and policies. 2. Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income expenses and earnings based on past present and forecasted operations. 3. Direct preparation of budgets review budget proposals and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification. 4. Manage daily payroll and accounting functions. 5. Assure that critical financial reports and records are fairly valued and free from material misstatements. Financial oversight for safeguarding of company assets. 6. Lead financial liaison for implementation and maintenance of accounting and payroll hardware/software systems and processes. 7. Provide management and Board of Directors with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities. 8. Work with management to develop cost center analysis and maintain/revise standard cost system. 9. Oversight and direct involvement of financial external audit of company’s accounts 10. Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
Requirements: • 5-10 years of relevant plant controller experience in a manufacturing environment • Experience with lean manufacturing disciplines and how they apply to the finance function • Fluent in Microsoft Office products and familiar with integrated financial software packages • Capable of detailed analysis • Pro-active leader who is committed to continuous improvement • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills • Must be able to interact with all levels of management including working on strategy and planning with senior executives
• EDUCATION: B.S. Degree in Accounting or related field CPA or MBA preferred
