Responsible for performing surveillance prevention and infection control activities as well as collecting analyzing and reporting data formulating and reviewing policies and procedures implementing evaluating and revising infection control practices.
Infection Control Coordinator (RN MT or MPH). The Infection Control Coordinator will manage one Infection Control Nurse and will manage the facility wide Infection Control program. Position reports to the Vice President Support Services and Risk Management.
Requirements: A minimum of three years acute care infection control experience State Registered Nurse license required (or eligible) Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or Medical Technology
Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required; Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement initiatives for health care acquired infection; Ability to enter and manage data create reports and documentation.
Demonstrated computer literacy Microsoft Office: Outlook Word Excel Access and PowerPoint; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• EDUCATION: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or Medical Technology required Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Masters of Public Health Epidemiology preferred.
