Investigate and implement programs that provide major cost quality and service improvements in manufacturing related processes. Provide technical leadership on specifications process controls process guidelines etc. for new products. Improve the reliability, efficiency and throughput of current laminating operations. Interact with customers to learn/understand product performance and apply to improvements. - Conduct problem solving process capability improvements and process control activities using Enterprise Lean Sigma tools. - Develop/cultivate plant capabilities in laminating. - Assist the research manufacturing and quality teams with the design and execution of process controls required to effectively improve quality and manufacturing effectiveness. - Provide a leadership role in the development of new products and processes. - Collaborate with other resources on site and within other locations to obtain and transfer learning expertise and opportunities.
Requirements: - B.S. in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering - 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. - Troubleshooting process optimization and cost reduction experience. - Able to handle multiple tasks. - Experience in an ISO environment a plus. - Experience in continuous web handling operation is a plus. - Experience in metallizing is a plus. - Project management experience a plus.
