Establish and maintain relationships with key thought leaders in the health care industry and develop and deliver presentations to various audiences on different aspects of their therapeutic category.
Provide and guide the strategic direction for this therapeutic category and devise tactical plans for that strategy to obtain. Develop overall marketing plans for the product(s) encompassing manufacturing operations advertising public relations sales force participation and legal/regulatory concerns thus ensuring the harmonization of all marketing activities for the product(s) in all markets. • Analyze the success of existing initiatives and programs building on them to develop or direct the development of new initiatives to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. • Interface with other functional areas to ensure that resources and efforts are strategically focused to achieve the objectives of the brand(s). • Drive the successful launch of new products. • Assist the team in directing and monitoring outside vendors/agencies ensuring that objectives are met. • Lead motivate and develop the team of professionals reporting to this position. • Mentor for others throughout the marketing organization and fostering an environment of open debate and free exchange of information. • Oversee the budget for present and future products.
Requirements • 6-10 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a marketing role. • CNS RESP ONCOLOGY and GI experience are highly desired. • Managerial experience along with sales experience and will have launched one or more products. • Understanding of the pharmaceutical marketing mix medical education public relations patient incentives and must understand how this works together to produce results. • Strong oral and written communication skills strong analytical skills and original thinking.
• EDUCATION: BS, MBA preferred
