Job Description

Bloomington , IN , United States   The Electrical Construction Project Manager will use baseline drawings to develop detailed estimates and specifications for labor and material costs proposed pricing generating detailed bill of materials ongoing specification and purchasing of materials payment of recurring expenses pay requisitions and regular reporting against plan status meetings etc.   Manage impact of proposed changes on cost schedule and deliverables end to end change management process. Electrical Construction Project Manager candidate will manage engineering specification development project, purchasing, delivery, installation, commissioning of equipment. Manage project teams through the full life cycle of large complex high ticket electrical construction projects

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience in RFI process evaluation response and submittal process including site surveys and assessments developing project scopes and cost estimates creating baseline budgets and controls insurance and bonding requirements
• Experience leading and managing LARGE integrated teams of field project managers and field engineers including coaching mentoring professional development of individuals performance and compensation management hiring and firing.
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of Project Management experience in a large complex electrical contract construction environment with an emphasis on
• Demonstrated successful experience managing electrical contract construction projects through the full life cycle from beginning to end including:
• A working hands-on knowledge of design/build concepts from engineering through implementation and maintenance with an emphasis on integrated construction management of sophisticated electrical systems
• Change order process including initial preparation negotiation and ongoing
• Ongoing management of projects ranging in size from $.5M to $10M with as many as 10 to 100 electricians demonstrated effectiveness managing Company expectations and satisfaction via ongoing communications etc.
• Contract management experience– both upstream (owner) preferred and downstream (contractor or subcontractor) required including experience managing technical and contractual issues throughout life cycle
• Ability to work out of the Central NJ area and to travel as needed both locally and occasional out of town travel (as needed)
• Strong project management skills including proficiency with MS Office applications e.g. MS Project and Excel PMP Certification a plus
• Electrical construction project management experience in a contract electrical environment is the key to this role   • EDUCATION: BSEE PE a plus but not required
