Perform detailed circuit analysis on new and existing designs and recommend changes to improve product reliability. Develop and manage execution of protocols to determine the reliability of new and existing designs.
Work with Research and development to generate component and system level FMEAs as part of new product development team. Recommend design changes as required to lower risk/RPN number - The Principal Reliability Engineer will develop HALT/HASS protocols to be utilized within the product development process -Assists manufacturing in the definition of production burn-in profiles to eliminate infantile component failure of electronics. - 5 plus years experience with stated processes skills and equipment technologies - Manage root cause failure analysis on released product and recommend product improvements to improve reliability - Develop protocols to determine demonstrated MTBF of capital equipment designs - Develop cost effective ESS/burn in strategy to be used at contract manufacturer sites to eliminate infantile component failure while not compromising product usable life - Perform worst case analysis on new and existing electronic designs. - Working knowledge of extreme value analysis and associated software tools required - Perform power de-rating analysis of electronic designs. - Recommend component or power rating changes as required - As required structure thermal profiling protocols and manage such testing for high power electronic applications - Strong circuit analysis skills (analog and digital) - Statistical Analysis Skills including the ability to define test sample sizes based on risk and desired level of statistical confidence and effectiveness - Proficient with Excel Power Point Mini-tab and Microsoft Project - Excellent verbal and written communication ability - DOE and data analysis.
