Infection Control Practitioner (RN MT MPH) Cape Cod Massachusetts Compensation based on education and experience Relocation package and tuition assistance available! We are conducting a national search for an experienced Infection Control Practitioner.
Work as the lead Infection Control Practitioner on a team of 3 and under the tutelage of the Director of Infection Control you will assist with the day-to-day activities of the Hospital Epidemiology/Infection Control program.
Plan, organize and implement infection control program Participate in infection control surveillance activities and evaluating hospital-acquired infections for preventable risk factors Act as a facilitator to reduce the risk of infection within the hospital and associated clinics Use continuous quality improvement methodology and epidemiologic principles within a fiscally responsible environment. This position reports to the Director of Infection Control.
This position also has administrative support for the Infection Control team.
Requirements: RN license (or eligible) A minimum of two years acute care infection control experience Medical Technologist (MT) or Master of Public Health / Epidemiology or Bachelors degree in healthcare related field is required Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement initiatives for health care acquired infection Possess the ability to enter and manage data create reports and documentation Demonstrated computer literacy to include Microsoft Office Outlook Word Excel Access and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills
