Provide strategic leadership for the development implementation communication and administration of benefit programs to ensure market competitiveness and the retention of high potential talent for the organization. Serve as the internal content expert for the company regarding policies procedures laws and regulations pertaining to benefits and other Human Resources areas as determined. • Manage coach and develop Benefits and HRIS department staff. • Research analyze and develop competitive cost effective benefits strategies and programs that attract and retain great talent. • Integrate benefit practices that exist due to recent and upcoming mergers and acquisitions • Lead the benefits strategy and plan design and direct teams responsible for all health and welfare plans 401(k) ESOP and equity plans and benefits • Design and deliver communication materials and presentations on all benefit and performance programs • Ensure legal compliance with all state and federal benefit regulations • Research and recommend new HR technologies that will enable the automation of HR processes to reduce manual administration and identify potential cost-savings • Serve as an interface between internal customers the IT department HR peers and external partners to ensure the effective definition of and delivery of HRIS applications • Partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure programs are financially viable and can be easily administered • Minimum of 5 years of people management responsibility are required. Requirements: • Ability to successfully complete the Background Investigations, Criminal Education Employment Credit and Driving Records Checks for continued employment. • Experience working in a fast-paced results-oriented Government Contracting environment. • Experience working for a companies with over 3000 employees. • In-depth knowledge of benefit practices and principles and all applicable laws and regulations. • Excellent analytic planning time management communication decision-making presentation organization and interpersonal skills. • Proven ability to be both strategic and tactical. • Solid business understanding • ability and willingness to learn quickly. • Ability to work independently exercise discretion and multi-task in a highly dynamic environment. • Technical skill and proficiency using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a business related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience and a minimum of 10 years related work experience of HRIS and benefit experience Ability to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information. • Experience with merger and acquisitions and working across multiple locations highly desirable. • Experience working in a global environment is a plus. • Prior experience in union and non- union environments highly desirable.
• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a business related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience and a minimum of 10 years related work experience of HRIS and benefit experience with Masters degree a plus, PHR or SPHR
