Job Description

Stafford , VA , United States   Analyze process data and lead efforts to identify and permanently implement corrective actions to eliminate root causes. Support performance with emphasis on customer focus corrective actions  poka-yoke development, process development PPAP and internal audit systems. Participate in and lead structured problem solving teams and apply statistical and other problem solving tools.   The position also involves working with the Quality Leadership in evaluating developing and assuring conformance to procedures and processes both from plant and division levels. Candidate must have the ability to lead and influence others through change in a manner that gets results while maintaining positive team and professional relationships.    Support the Zero Defects objective of the organization with emphasis on quality system knowledge. Develop the culture of quality by establishing programs and processes to support the manufacture and assembly of products and services that exceed customer expectations.   

Job Requirements:

  Requirements:
• Bachelor degree or higher in engineering or in a related science or business field with appropriate experience
• Three years of quality engineering experience  preferably in heavy machining such as gears and/or castings.
• Broad base of technical knowledge in areas such as heavy machining related processes within the plant  Quality Assurance systems inspection techniques and team oriented problem solving.
• Professional quality recognition such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred
• Knowledge of lean tools and experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Excellent written verbal and presentation skills  
• Three years of quality engineering experience preferably in close-to-customer subsystem assembly processes.
• Broad base of technical knowledge in areas such as automotive assembly heavy machining related processes within the plant  Quality Assurance systems inspection techniques and team oriented problem solving.
• Professional quality recognition such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred
• Knowledge of lean tools and experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
