The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for directing the technical activities on assigned projects and ensuring that the technical staff understands and adheres to the discipline technical policies and procedures.
The Mechanical Engineer Project Manager will participate in the development of technical studies investigations and designs in support of secured projects. Will be responsible for scoping pricing and staffing on their projects and making sure the production of work is on time within budget and of the highest technical quality.
The Mechanical Engineer Project Manager will be responsible charge for and perform responsibilities on assigned projects which shall include but not be limited to: • Assisting in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities. • Selecting appropriate equipment. • Attending design meetings with Owners and Architects to determine project scope and coordinate between disciplines. • Developing design approaches and concepts on assigned projects. • Providing coordination of project designs with other disciplines. • Executing specific engineering studies and design analyses. • Reviewing shop drawings records and changes and assisting in communicating directly with suppliers contractors and client representatives. • Perform on site inspections during construction and coordinate design requirements with contractors and equipment supplies.
Requirements: • 4+ years of commercial facility mechanical HVAC design and project management experience. • HVAC system design unitary equipment design to modular central plant design as well as knowledge of current industry equipment and materials. • Supervision of project team members for complete and coordinated systems. • Aptitude for building and energy codes the technical aspects for facilities management and the ability to communicate these to the suppliers contractors and client representative. • Proficiency with engineering modeling tools. • Successful client management experience.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering is required.
