Risk Management Services operates as part of the Consulting practice providing Internal Audit and Regulatory Compliance and Loan Review consulting services.
The Risk Management Practice Leader is responsible or driving growth and profitability for all risk management services and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic business development initiatives throughout the local geographic market. The Practice Leader will:
1.Actively support the development of the risk management consulting business as a strategic business unit.
2.Anticipate and evaluate changes in the risk management consulting industry and market environment and recommend corresponding changes in strategy practices products/services and policies.
3.Assist in the development implementation and measurement of the Consulting marketing and sales plan for the New York Unit to ensure that the risk management consulting practice attains its target annual growth and profit goals.
4.Assist in the development and implementation of a three year risk management services business plan which is aligned with the Firm overall Business Consulting strategy.
5.Manage the business risk aspects of the risk management consulting practice and proactively address projects and clients to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
6.Ensure the delivery of high quality risk management consulting deliverables and ensure compliance with all consulting quality assurance regulatory and independence policies.
7.Monitor key performance measurements and metrics consistent with the company risk management services metrics
8.Oversee and ensure the development of the risk management group to develop a high performing team and organization. Coach and develop other leaders in the group to attain their full potential.
9.Effectively administer compensation and promotions for all risk management consulting personnel in the New York Unit.
10.Communicate with other Consulting team leaders and other Economic Unit teams to develop detailed understanding of capabilities and best practices.
Requirements: 1.A proven track record in a leadership role within a large national accounting/ consulting firm.
2.Thorough understanding and expertise of the Legislative Compliance and Internal Audit functions 3.Demonstrated success in leadership abilities and dealing with executive management 4.Proven strong business and team development skills 5.Overall understanding and knowledge of industry trends and changes in regulations 6.Superior client service skills in addressing concerns and needs of the customer base and meeting or exceeding client expectations
EDUCATION: CPA or MBA and other advanced business degrees are a plus (CPA CIA CFE etc)
