Responsible for entering and or checking data before they are entered into the patients records. The Medical Technologist perform under his/her supervision is according to established, approved procedures and quality control policies and under optimal conditions (e.g. will keep instruments in proper functioning reagents in good condition and will follow proper technique for use of such.)
- Notifying the Physician as soon as possible for STAT requests and PANIC values
- Perform maintenance procedures on the instrumentation as dictated by the manufacturer. - Investigate and resolve problems, informs laboratory supervisor of any problems. - Maintain and retention of all documents needed for Federal/State inspections as directed by the Supervisor. - Will keep track of all laboratory supplies and letting the Supervisor know when orders need to be placed. - Complying with all WMG policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.
- EDUCATION: MT degree or equivalent Certification as a medical technologist
