Supervise technical staff including the on-site management of sub-contractors and vendors to ensure that all work is performed according to established practices/procedures. Ensure detailed SOPs and MOPs exist and are used for all work on critical facility equipment.
Schedule and supervise the performance of routine and emergency service on a variety of state of the art critical systems including: medium voltage switchgear diesel generators UPS systems power distribution equipment chillers cooling towers computer room air handlers fire detection/suppression and building monitoring systems.
Establish performance benchmarks conducting analyses and preparing reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance. Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects manage capacity and optimize the safety performance reliability and efficiency of the mission critical environment
Requirements: Two to three years of critical facility operations and maintenance experience and a proven track record of experience performing SOME or all of the following responsibilities at a mission critical data center. * Demonstrated technical knowledge of electrical distribution and emergency/standby power systems HVAC systems fire detection/suppression or monitoring/control systems. * Maintain a constant state of readiness in support of the mission goal of 100% uptime. * Create and modeling a culture of excellence and constant process improvement. * Ability to work after hours / weekends and travel as needed for training and company meetings. * Strong computer skills and a familiarity with computer networking concepts and Microsoft office
