Manage a team of professionals including the recruitment, training, termination and performance management. Manage vendors and suppliers and other vendors in order to procure the supplies and/or contractors. Perform manual maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing and electrical systems. Ensure that the maintenance staff adheres to the Safety Standards as well as legal regulations surrounding workplace safety and the use of hazardous materials. - Develop effective employee relations competent subordinates and collaborative relations between the maintenance employees and other departments. - Must understand and comply with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies to assure that environment health and safety are the first priority of the business. -Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist the department as needed to improve EHS performance and results. -Contribute to all work being completed in a safe efficient and timely manner by coordinating the activities of the Inspection Planning and Execution functions of the maintenance organization - Minimizing the impact on production the Maintenance Coordinator schedules coordinates and oversees the Plants mechanical and electrical maintenance activities. - Establishes the Maintenance Departments daily weekly and monthly work schedules based on information from 4 sources - specific requests the preventive maintenance program inspection and predictive based work orders. - Operates maintenance department within forecast budget limits for overtime and contractor work - maximizes value of all available resources - Develops and implements effective maintenance systems - Develops subordinates and provides an environment for employee development and support - Ensures safe work practices are implemented and followed by employees
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years related experience in a heavy industry/mining environment sufficient to understand the work to be coordinated Strong reliability experience. Demonstrated ability in providing leadership achieving results and driving sustainable change is required. Demonstrated strong organization and planning skills Candidates MUST have heavy industrial experience. Ideal industry background would include: cement aggregates asphalt concrete lime steel pulp and paper or mining etc.
• EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in an engineering or technical field is required.
