Coordinate all activities necessary to develop new products in an expeditious manner striving for lowest cost and highest quality including prototype development design verification analysis and testing as required. Manage and coordinate the engineering function at the facility which includes the design of variable frequency drive packages and soft starters and developing solutions to production problems relating to manufacturing. • Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team. • Effectively assigns prioritizes and manages department resources relating to orders and new product development. • Partners with Production and Application Engineers to meet customer delivery expectations. • Collaborate with key customers to influence system requirements and offer innovative solutions. • Constantly looks to avenues to lower costs and improve business operations • Provide technical support through effective communication to internal and external customers. • Participate in the company’s business planning budgeting and forecasting processes.
REQUIREMENTS: • Broad technical knowledge including but not limited to control theory engineering standards and practices regulatory codes and manufacturing processes and procedures. • Motor Control industry expertise past experience with electrical panel building preferred. • Possess strong leadership skills to motivate employees • Proven experience in designing analyzing and troubleshooting electrical circuits systems and software. • Strong planning and organizational skills coupled with the ability to deal with ambiguity • Ability to interact with customers in a manner that enhances the company’s image. • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities projects and people. • Excellent communication documentation and presentation skills. • 7-10 years experience in the electric motor drives control industry • Previous supervisory experience performance reviews
