Maintain awareness of key industry trends and pricing as well as the development of new services and recommends and/or councils others on these changes. The Global Logistics Manager must have a background with EPC (Engineering Procurement and contracting). Lead the pursuit of fully synchronized global transportation and logistics program to service the business requirements at the lowest total cost.
• Negotiates contracts with carriers and co-ordinates the effective implementation. • Works with the Supply Chain Management team to lead strategic planning for global supply chain as well as develop and implement logistics goals and objectives on a worldwide basis. • Develops corporate transportation and logistics policies and procedures. • Provides a clear process for shipping and logistics coordination. • Establishes processes that effectively manage and audit freight invoices • Establishes monitors and controls departmental budget in accordance with the projected business plan
Requirements: • Ten years of transportation and logistics experience preferably in a leadership role • Engineering procurement contractor experience would be an plus. • Strong knowledge of both domestic and international transportation and logistics principles practices and procedures. • Scope includes parcels LTL heavy haul air and ocean. • Comprehensive experience utilizing carriers freight forwarders brokers and other services to move freight to the international destinations. • Detailed understanding trade control compliance .
