Complete and submit all required Work Order documentation to Service Supervisor in a timely manner. Travel to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair of electrical generator systems and related engine failures, and utility transfer switches and switch gears.
• Perform Planned Maintenance Agreement services and inspections. perform start-up and new genset commissioning. • Complete current and future scheduled work on customer generators will be required to wear safety equipment at all times and perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: • Minimum two years power generation repair experience. Related technical degree a plus • Comprehensive understanding of electricity, electrical controls, generator sets, and power distribution including safe operation. • Engine diagnosis and troubleshooting aptitude on diesel and natural gas powered engines. • Ability to read instructions and/or schematics. • Organizational skills necessary to maintain an inventory of power generation repair parts, supplies and literature • Excellent customer support skills with the ability to communicate effectively. • Computer skills (Windows, Internet explorer, Email, Microsoft Office) required • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. (CDL preferred) • Travel to/from customers’ sites in company provided vehicle to perform work. • May require overnight stays, must have own hand tools
Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift 25-100lbs using proper lifting tools and lifting techniques. • Bending, stretching, standing, kneeling, twisting, and climbing on equipment throughout work.
