Work with Human Resources to ensure optimal delivery of care and participate with peers subordinates and supervisors in a constructive problem solving way to create a best practice Employee Heath program. Must have a proven track record of creating a high performing EH team with a profound sense of ownership and customer service for the employees of the healthcare system.
Must have expert understanding of Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OHSA) and Workers Compensation rules and regulations. Oversee Occupational Injury Benefit Plan (OIBP) and Employee Health Services for the organization Prepare OSHA log/reports and acting as a back-up for Employee Health Services to include physical examinations TB screenings assessing and treating work related injuries.
Strategic planning and submission of annual staffing and operational budget for cost center Monitoring budget compliance and providing budget variance explanations Drive best practices by ensuring established systems and processes are in alignment with operations. This position reports to the VP of Human Resources and will lead a dedicated team of Employee Health Nurses.
Requirements: 2 plus years related experience managing or directing an employee health program within an acute care hospital required Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement initiatives for the health care system required Possess the ability to enter and manage data create reports and documentation Demonstrated computer literacy Microsoft Office: Outlook Word Excel Access and PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• EDUCATION: RN license from a nationally accredited school of nursing and Texas nursing licensure required or eligible Minimum of a BSN required and MSN highly preferred
