The Respiratory Therapist will see patients ranging from Neo-natal to Geriatrics patients, should be an RRT graduate from an accredited program. Will report to the Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator.
Training in ICU and floor therapy would be preferred. The hours would be either 6 AM to 6:60 PM or 6PM to 6:30 AM three days a week. Shift hours would rotate between days and nights and every other holiday.
• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis. • Direct respiratory staff for delivery of care. Implements and monitors patient care plan. • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition, perform advanced respiratory care modalities. • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes. • Educate patient and family about the illness and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
