Candidate will need a minimum two years of scrub experience and national certification however more experienced will also be considered for the role. Must be able to work extended hours with rotating call including some nights weekends and holidays.
Will transport all surgical equipment to appropriate cleaning areas. Assists in sterile supply with cleaning and reprocessing of instrument sets. Will Interact and effectively with all patients/others regardless of age or ethnic background.
Utilize Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and safe practices to ensure personal safety and a safe environment. Assist with environmental hazard and infection control surveillance participate in emergency preparedness drills. Follows all equipment and safety guidelines and is responsible for knowledgeable use and care of equipment.
Act as a resource to members of the health care team, attend in-service, conferences, and meetings as required, communicate in professional and courteous manner with visitors, physicians, and their office staffs, patients, and employees. Maintain patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality policies and designated certifications..
