The Quality Management Coordinator provides assessment and evaluation support to concurrent and retrospective quality management in accordance with Medicare regulations JCAHO requirements third party payer guidelines and medical administrative and program staffs.
Work with physician leadership directors and managers in the development and implementation of quality efforts including preparation risk monitoring and reduction in clinical and non-clinical systems and coordinating multidisciplinary quality improvement projects. The QM Coordinator acts as a facilitator and mentor for department teams related to performance improvement and authorizes and makes decisions on recommendations.
The QM Coordinator serves as a resource and consultant for Quality Improvement activities and Medical Staff quality activities and assists in development and performance of educational activities as related to Quality Improvement and Accreditation requirements.
Requirements: Current State RN (Registered License) license 5 years acute medical/surgical experience and a minimum 5 years hospital experience in a progressively responsible position. Registered Nurse -Quality Management Coordinator Full time - Days
Must be self-starter able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing administration and physicians. BSN (Bachelors Degree Nursing) or MSN (Masters Degree Nursing) preferred; Experience and/or training in facilitation preferred.
