Must be familiar with the literature associated with gene expression mRNA counting / enumeration methods and the statistical methods common in this domain and support gene expression applications developed on our high speed DNA sequencing platform.
Analyze and interpret extremely large and complex data sets and develop tools that allow others to analyze these data sets. The BioInformatician will exercise independent judgment within broadly defined fields to develop methods techniques and tools to obtain results.
The BioInformatician will include writing applications and developing tools for analysis of DNA sequence alignments.
Ability and desire to specify the overall function of an analysis system is desired. A working knowledge and proven excellence in programming (C/C++ Perl CGI/HTML) and in scientific principles and concepts are necessary.
