Will oversee the laboratory operations for all lab support activities. Maintain effective staff coverage for the practice and satellites within budgetary constraints. • Hire and coordinate training for all lab personnel to maximize service to patients in accordance with practice policies and procedures. • Review and revise laboratory policies and procedures to reflect the exact practice of the physicians and staff for implementation throughout • Direct the correct use of charge codes and educates all staff in correct procedures per reimbursement guidelines. • Coordinate the completion of performance evaluations for all lab staff. Develop performance expectations and departmental objectives for lab staff • Demonstrate working knowledge of applicable labor laws schedules and coordinates employee vacations sick leave and overtime. • Will be a member of the ISO Committee and Safety committee . • Provide staff training/in-services as required on updated drugs protocols. • Develop new services and activities for patients families and staff in accordance with practice service objectives. • Develop annual operating goals and budget for the lab department in support of the practice’s business plan • Develop new services and activities for patients families and staff in accordance with practice service objectives. • Develop annual operating goals and budget for the lab department • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Hold a working knowledge of basic computer skills. • Possess clinical assessment skills relative to the oncology patient/family.
Minimum five (5) years actively practicing as with two (2) years oncology experience and one (1) year managerial experience.
• EDUCATION: Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology from an accredited program for professional education from four-year college or university
